Temple Cloud Circus is a circus school based in Temple Cloud, South Bristol, that offers a range of classes and workshops in aerial skills, including trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hoop, aerial loop, and aerial rope. We also provide supervised training, space rental, and private 121s for students of all ages, abilities, genders, and ethnicities. We are committed to student-led learning principles of self-determination, and our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters a lifelong love for circus arts. Additionally, we go to many festivals to perform circus shows and organize our own Temple Cloud Festival every June. As a non-profit Community Interest Company, we are always looking for new funding opportunities to provide more accessible circus courses and shows.

Mission Statement: Our mission at Temple Cloud Circus is to share the joy of circus with people of all ages, abilities, genders, and ethnicities.

Intention, Purpose, Aims, and Objectives: Our intention is to provide an accessible framework of aerial skills and acts that can be tailored to meet the needs and goals of each student. We aim to teach in clear, linear progressions that adhere to student-led learning principles of self-determination. Our objective is to create a goal and reward-oriented approach to teaching, allowing students’ needs and inspirations to light the journey of circus.

To achieve this, we take into account the individual needs and learning methods of each student and work to deliver learning material in a way that suits them best. We teach “the heart first and then the body,” as quoted from the “Nimble Arts Teacher Training Program,” and prioritise safety as a core value. Our goal is to create a culture of safety where everyone understands the importance of a safe environment.

We also aim to nurture self-assessment, realistic goals, achievable aims, self-care, and self-discipline. Our approach to teaching is rooted in student empowerment and fostering a lifelong love of circus arts.

Thank you for choosing Temple Cloud Circus as your learning destination. We look forward to embarking on this circus journey together

In 2022 we received funding from the Arts Council for our Temple Cloud Festival in June and a show about Mental Health and Circus. In the spring of 2022 SSE funded Temple Cloud Circus to set up and incorporate properly as a CIC. The week after we incorporated we were awarded funding from the Together fund, Sports England to be able to offer some part-funded places on our Circus Courses. We are always looking for new funding so please check this page regularly for new funded opportunities
